I’m currently organizing a sponsorship program to support a group of medically fragile orphans under the care of the amazing organization ChinaKidz! I’m hoping readers are willing to craft or buy leggings, sweaters and/or toys for these special orphaned children to help them keep warm over the winter months. You can read more about what I’m doing here. Please consider helping these little sweeties and please feel free to ask any questions!!!
Welcome!
I'm Frugal Trenches (no, not my real name!) a lover of natural, simple and frugal living! I use this space and my camera to document a beautiful, purposeful, downshifted and abundant life! Life is not always simple (oh how I wish it was!) but it is always rich and I hope this space demonstrates beauty and joy!
If you have a question, feel free to leave it in the comments! I read and appreciate every comment and will reply to questions within the comment section, even if it takes a day or two (or three, but whose counting!).

Pingback: Weekending | Notes From The Frugal Trenches – A Downshifting Journey
Dear FT
When I first saw your post about this project, I wished you well, but didn’t really feel able to contribute as I am fully commited knitting wise, and as I have several other projects I support, I thought I would give this one a miss.
Whatever was I thinking?
After reading your comment about sometimes feeling that you are the only one who cares, well that really struck a chord with me and as you already know from the response you have had so far, you are not alone in feeling passionate about helping these dear little souls.
Please let me help a little sweetie.
Good luck and God Bless.
Stella

Thank you for matching me with little Annie, she looks adorable. I shall get a package together and get it sent off to her by the 24th of November. I will then do a little bit of crafting and send that as soon as I can.
Kindest regards
