Welcome!
I'm Frugal Trenches (no, not my real name!) a lover of natural, simple and frugal living! I use this space and my camera to document a beautiful, purposeful, downshifted and abundant life! Life is not always simple (oh how I wish it was!) but it is always rich and I hope this space demonstrates beauty and joy!
If you have a question, feel free to leave it in the comments! I read and appreciate every comment and will reply to questions within the comment section, even if it takes a day or two (or three, but whose counting!).

Alone
Photo credit This morning I woke up at the crack of dawn to hike through the woods alone. Just me and thousands of trees, wild bunnies, a hawk and many birds, as well as God who heard many many prayers … Continue reading

Peeking Through The Fog

Tick, Tick, Tick, Boom!
Lately I’ve felt like I have a mountain to climb. I needed to get a job, in order to rent a small flat in the area I hope to purchase the small holding. I need to rent somewhere to find … Continue reading
And Then There Was One…
I knew there was no way. I think it was the point where I was sitting in the hall next to the sign that said surgery suite this way, in that instant sitting there waiting, I just knew. Oh the … Continue reading
Paradigm Shift
It is 4:14 am and I’ve been up for the last two hours with insane nausea. The type the makes the room spin, your mouth taste of metal, your stomach hurt and your head pound. The type that means you … Continue reading
