Welcome!
I'm Frugal Trenches (no, not my real name!) a lover of natural, simple and frugal living! I use this space and my camera to document a beautiful, purposeful, downshifted and abundant life! Life is not always simple (oh how I wish it was!) but it is always rich and I hope this space demonstrates beauty and joy!
If you have a question, feel free to leave it in the comments! I read and appreciate every comment and will reply to questions within the comment section, even if it takes a day or two (or three, but whose counting!).

Waiting For Doors To Open
In many ways I’m in a season of waiting! A season of trying to discern what God’s plan is for my life. As I grow and change and make a conscious effort to obey God’s teachings and focus less on … Continue reading

I get so many emails asking me how I do it all with a “good attitude” and the reality is that I don’t, it is a constant battle to have a joyful serving heart! Over the last couple of weeks I’ve … Continue reading

What would it take to lose everything?
I’ve been thinking a lot about the family I previously mentioned, the family which was made homeless. In thinking about them, I’ve been reflecting on just what it would take to lose everything (financially). I’ve thought that it rarely is … Continue reading
Frugal Fun
A comment on my last post implied that it was depressing to live on a £20 a week food budget and a £8 a week entertainment/fun budget. It made me giggle because I used to spend 3x that on food … Continue reading
