Welcome!
I'm Frugal Trenches (no, not my real name!) a lover of natural, simple and frugal living! I use this space and my camera to document a beautiful, purposeful, downshifted and abundant life! Life is not always simple (oh how I wish it was!) but it is always rich and I hope this space demonstrates beauty and joy!
If you have a question, feel free to leave it in the comments! I read and appreciate every comment and will reply to questions within the comment section, even if it takes a day or two (or three, but whose counting!).

What Are Your Financial Expectations?

Frugal Friday: Find A Banking System Which Works For You!
Recently my blog friend Dancing left a comment on this post about banking, I replied in the comments but it spurred me onto a bigger thought about how important it is to find a banking system which works for you. … Continue reading

Financial Goals
Lately I think I’ve been so focused on living in the now, understandably so, that I’ve forgotten to have a semi-plan for the long-term. I was thinking about what my financial needs & goals are over the coming 12-18 months … Continue reading
July Budget
I mentioned yesterday that one of my goals for the month was to blog about my budget. When I blog about my monthly financial goals, I hope it helps me say no to non-essentials and keeps me motivated to continue on this … Continue reading

Ten Days Towards Health
I’m home, the event I needed to wear a suit for went swimmingly well, ending in tears & hugs all around and right now I’m happy, joyous, nervous, in need of a lot of courage and so incredibly exhausted even … Continue reading
Weekly Plan
Happy Monday! Sophie is home again (whew!) and back to her happy self, refusing to walk anywhere she doesn’t want to go! Obstinate, yes! Cute, definitely! Now that Sophie is home I can focus on the week ahead; I’ve mentioned before, … Continue reading
