Must Get Things Done: Thursday!

Hot on my 2013 goal monthly check in, and looking a the weekly list to do, as well as knowing of quite a few other things that need to get done around here, I’m making today a “get things done day”. We will still home educate, but everyone will be pitching in! If you have a blog and are looking for motivation, I highly recommend once in a while posting your list of things to do that day and then committing to getting them done. Accountability is a great thing! ;)

I am so embarrassed, and feel like such a yutz. I do tend to go overboard sometimes, and it seems I’ve done it in this situation. I am sorry for my continuous comments and emails. I truly didn’t mean to make you feel uncomfortable, and it seems as if that’s what I’ve done. I thought you hadn’t responded because you were so busy, but I can definitely see now that you were more likely hoping if you didn’t respond, I would just stop posting. I truly apologize. From the bottom of my heart, I just wanted to help and feel terrible that I put you in an awkward position. It takes a lot to put so much of yourself online. Don’t worry- no more nudges from me! :)

Best of Luck, and Happy Thoughts!

No Mrs. Coastguard. I hadn’t replied becuase I haven’t had time. Promise. I started replying last night to emails and your must be in today’s list (I’m going chronologically). I promise, promise you haven’t offended me. I am very very behind with emails. Something I hope to fix one day.

Orthodontist app for my youngest, and treating her to lunch out with mom :) when I get back it’s a quick tidy up and laundry, laundry, and more laundry and then my hubs n I are going out to dinner and a movie. We may forego the movie, I don’t really see anything I’m particularly interested in. Not enough to pay the price to see it anyway. Not something we do often but once in a while it’s nice :) presently it seems the only 1 on 1 time I get with my kids is when they have individual appointments on school days which is just about the only good thing about having my kids in public schools :(

What am I doing today? Not as much as you are! I got tired just reading the list. LOL I’m scrubbing the bathtub and shower curtain, doing all my laundry in case we lose power during the storm, tidying the kitchen, and taking DD and a friend to the thrift store in a nearby town. I’m also making a large squash lasagna that will last us for several meals. Hope you and the children have a happy day!

It is Friday today. Yesterday I went out for the first time in ages and did some yarn shopping. I was trying to use up my stash but found I had to buy a few more cotton balls of yarn to “match” some sets I am making as gifts and/or for sale to raise money for missions in Kenya.

I know you are working your way through email so you probably haven’t gotten to mine yet. I’ve picked up two white pillar candles for you (only 4 inches high, rather than the 6 inches I was looking to get you as they sold out). I have also found some nice coloured deep blue and yellow/gold tapered candles for you (6) and will send you some tea lights (whtie). All I need is an address.

    Blessings. xx

been not so well here – i have rheumatoid arthritis which has been flaring up, so a quiet time for us. i set my food budget at 400 which is a lot less for us than normal and came in only 50 over. as i ahvent been well i ahvent been out of the house and realised i have enough food to last us ages ( and flour to bake bread – we may only need milk) and so have decided quite radically to not go into a supermarket for the rest of feb ! anything we desperately need i will get my oh to get while he is at work. i wonder how long we will last but am also quite excited by the prospect. Much love to you all – hope the big snow misses you out – friends in Fort Erie have loads ! xxx

So sorry you haven’t been well Kellie. I can completely understand the arthritis woes! That’s excellent re: your food budget. Well done you!!!

I’m not sure I’ve posted before (although I don’t know why because I love your blog and admire you deeply), but I check in every day and upon noticing your absence, I hope eveything is ok with you. I pray that your health is recovering and your children are doing well. You are a true inspiration with a huge heart. Love from England! x

  8. Hi Frugal Trenches. I hope things are going ok. I know it is your first week back to work so things must be hectic. Hopefully the children are doing ok and are not suffering to much from attachment issues. Children very quickly get used to having a parent at home. All the best!

FT, you and your kids amaze me!! Ever thought about writing an e-book – about frugality or planning for meals, etc Content could come from this blog and people would buy it and learn a lot from it. It would also help with the income part.

I hope you feel better soon.
