Goals For This Week: February 4-10

I’ve decided that I will simply update each week’s goals in the original post (striking through what was completed and making notes about what wasn’t and why) so for an update on last week, click here {okay, I just clicked and it needs updating. Bare with me!}

This week’s main goal is to savor and enjoy my last week off, and somehow get my head around returning to work. By the time I go back I will have been off for three weeks; I have never in my life had three weeks off of work. Sadly for most of it I and the children were sick, but it was good to simply be together, without distraction – apart from the coughing. I will admit that yesterday I got to the point of craving a bit of time alone. With sickness in the house, appointment after appointment at the local children’s hospital and home educating, I can’t actually tell you the last time I had 30 minutes to myself. I declared Sunday evening that night and fed both children an early dinner, read and then had them both tucked up by 7 pm. The plan was to give myself one hour to get the remaining chores done, and then forcing 8-10 pm as my time. With the plan being Downton Abbey between 9-10, tea, with some baked goods, homemade soup and knitting. Only two children were up a couple of times each, there was a cat fight to sort and, and I dropped a whole bag of sesame seeds on the kitchen floor, which above mentioned cats then spread around the lounge too. Aaah, one day I’ll manage an hour or two of peace and quiet. But for now….
