Goals For This Week – Jan 28- Feb 3

Easier goals this week as I’m a bit sick and we have dentist and medical appointments, as well as our weekly activities. I’m finding each week we accomplish more and more home educating as we weave what we are learning throughout our days, whether we are baking, cooking, talking, driving in the car, discussing the news or reading a book. Tis lovely. :)

Family Goals

  • Two winter walks
  • Field trip
  • Quiet weekend with little outside noise from family time
  • Read the Bible 2 x as a family
  • Drop off thank you cards & art
  • Read the BFG
  • Games night
  • Family writing activity 2 x

Personal Goals

  • Finish blogging about 30 Days of Nothing
  • Begin cleaning/organizing my home project {February 1st}
  • Knitting project

Children’s Goals

  • Continue learning the Lord’s prayer
  • Learn how to count by 2′s to 100
  • Learn the 2x tables
  • 20 sheets of kumon per day
  • Write 25 sentences
  • Each study a piece of news, answer questions and present it to the family
  • 10 new spelling words + last week’s spelling words in a daily test
  • Unit study on the planets
  • Daily activity of describing a person or object
  • Continue learning about the election process and the Government

Giving Goals

  • Make soup and give to a friend writing exams this week
  • Compassion project

Blogging Goals

  • Part 2 and 3 of 100 ways to save money on food
  • 52 Weeks of Happiness post
  • Finish thoughts on Month of Nothing experiment

    I really think breaking your goals into weekly lots is a lot better than doing monthly goals. Well it seems so for me so I’m going to take a leaf out of your book and work on my goals for the week Feb 1 to 8 (first goal will be enjoying my birthday on Feb 1, yay!). Have a good week, hope you feel on top of the world soon :)
