August Goals

Edited to add I’ve updated the goals to the end of the month! I had some big goals for August and as we are almost 1/2 way through the month, I thought I’d do an update!

Home
Organize hall closet
Organize boxes from move
Get landlord to fix a few broken things
Organize chest of drawers in the family room
Organize junk drawer in kitchen
Clean out purse

My Health

See consultant rheumatologist re: arthritis – appointment booked!
Get blood work done re: arthritis – appointment booked!
Exercise 4x week – going well!
Drink 4-6 glasses of water a day – doing very well!
Use essential oils and deep breathing daily- progressing well!
Register for my exercise class which begins in September
Visit local track
Leave work by 4pm 2 x a week
Eat breakfast and drink water every single day before leaving the house – doing well!

Family
Read Little House In The Big Wood out loud with the children
Read Little House On The Prairie out loud with the children
Take children swimming 10 x (8/10)
Hike once a week (4/4)
Volunteer at the farm as a family
Knit with daughter (2/8) – need to work on this!
Knit with son (0/8) – need to wor on this!
Cut sons hair
Do a study on Niagara Falls
Have kumon assessments done on both
Register for brownies & scouts for September
Register for swimming lessons for September
Attend book group – was cancelled!
Make and complete a Genesis Creation book as a family
Return library books
Visit library and update summer reading challenge (2/2)
Take food to the foodbank with the children
Arrange or visit my Godmother (the visit may need to be in early September)
Visit a friend who recently had a baby and take her some baked goods

Garden
Weed

Harvest kale and radishes
Volunteer at Community Clean up -  the date was changed and we couldn’t make it!

Adoption Related
Finish adoption paper work
Sibling visit

Budget
Food $400 ($324.11)
Petrol $150 ($153/$150)
Medications $135/$75
Childcare $140/$75 (needed 2 days of childcare so went waaaay over budget)

Reading, Making & Doing
Try potato & cheese soup recipe
Menu plan (4/4)
Make a batch of muffins or bread each week for breakfasts & snacks (2/4)
Knit cowl – started!
Finish reading Eva Luna
Finish reading Still Alice

Need to keep plugging away, but we are progressing nicely!

For all those who sent me emails, apologies my computer is having a hard time running yahoo right now. I hope to get it fixed soon!!

    Oh, FT! So much on your plate, but like eating an elephant you make progress on it one bite at a time. I can’t imagine moving with everything else you have going on. And I think you said something about another move being necessary in near future. Oh dear. Check email when able.
