“ I have found the sweetest, the most precious of all, is the lesson I learnt on the value of kindness. Every kindness I received, small or big, convinced me that there could never be enough of it in our world. To be kind is to respond with sensitivity and human warmth to the hopes and needs of others. Even the briefest touch of kindness can lighten a heavy heart. Kindness can change the lives of people” Aung San Suu Kyi
It is when you are struggling in some way, when you feel things are just a tad more difficult than they need be, that you often find kindness. This week has been long and hard, it culminated yesterday with my needing to do something I was dreading & put off for a long time, but it had to be done. And yesterday I was surrounded by kindness: an expensive service which was provided for free, a friend who held my hand through it all, another friend who baby-sat for 12 long hours while caring for her own baby & expecting, people who said just the right thing without knowing how much I needed it, kind comments here and here, extra hugs from my little darlings. Oh, life is good. Challenging at times. Yes. Do I long for someone to talk to, to bounce big choices off? Yes. Would a safety net of an extra $1000 greatly help us. Yes! But life isn’t just about needs and gaps, it is very much about blessings. And on the days I most need it, I’m extra blessed with kindness, compassion and grace. I hope you are too.

Thank you!
