Disagree George Orwell. Despite all the pain it has brought me I still believe it should be natural. Cherrie

Great quote- so true. It’s amazing how many little “white” lies we tell everyday. At least, I do! I’ll have to keep this in mind. Thanks, FT.

  3. M says:

I think the quote means that very few people tell the truth which is why it is a revolutionary act, not that you shouldn’t tell the truth. Also Mr. Orwell was a big believer in being the revolutionary.

  4. Elizabeth says:

I love this quote, telling the truth is rare and yet a worthy act. To clarify for people he is trying to say it is a worthwhile persuit not that it isn’t.

    I love the pic!

I hope you can tell us what your possible challenge is. I am still trying to figure out why you moved from England to Canada. You stated that you would be able to say within 6 months why you made the move but I have not caught it if you have. I have been reading your blog for about 2 years now and you are still very mysterious about your plans. I don’t get it, but you are allowed to do that, it is your blog. Best of luck in your endeavors, they are about helping others so I know that is a good thing.

Love the sign :) I used to live north of T or C, so it’s a bit like looking home. I see revolution is one of the most overlooked words. It can mean so many different things.

  7. I think the sign (based on the game) should actually be: Truth AND consequences. In my experience, speaking the truth in any way that is in fact revolutionary, has consequences to it. By definition it challenges the power-brokers. That’s why so few of us do it. But … we should do it. It requires courage.
