Goals For The Week

I can hardly believe it is almost the end of the month, although as it hasn’t snowed in 5 or 6 days now, it must almost be May, right ;)

This weekend I began a major clean up/spring clean. As I finally have storage space {chest of drawers & unit arrived} I decided to totally re-arrange the place, moving furniture around and re-organizing so that I have a place for everything that makes sense! Needless to say I didn’t think about how long it would take before I pulled everything out of every drawer, cupboard & closet. And yesterday when I realized what needed to be done I wanted to be the duck above and bury my head! ;) So let’s just say the main goal for the week is to finish this mammoth task…so the goals are:

Cleaning

  • Finish organizing my bedroom
  • Finish organizing the other room
  • Finish organizing the living room
  • Re-organize under the kitchen sink
  • Regular weekly clean

Health

  • Swim every single day
  • Gym 3x a week
  • Stick to menu plan

Reading

  • Read Romans
  • Begin reading The Explosive Child
  • Finish reading You Are Not A Gadget

Pets

  • Clip O & G’s nails
  • Litter boxes
  • Walk S 3x day
  • Buy more medication for G

Blog

  • Spring Nappy Drive {finally!}
  • Q & A post
  • Update budget post

Bits & Bobs

  • Send off form for new SIN card
  • Write letter to UK tax office
  • Go to Post Office
  • Send off reference forms
  • Send off form re: books/articles read
  • Book Dr’s appointment

I think those are the main priorities for the week, add in 5 days of work and well, there won’t be a whole lot of extra time :)

What do you hope to accomplish this week?

I always love your Monday posts because they guilt me into getting organized! I too often try to accomplish too much and find my place in a mess for weeks, even if in the end the final result is great!

Sorry you have to work today!

It’s good to see you back online.
This week I start working at a different site so my goal is to keep up my routine which started back in February and has been going well. I’ve been getting up earlier, eating breakfast every day, eating better meals at night and going to sleep earlier. I would have preferred to stay at my previous work site so motivation is not (yet) high for the new one! My goal is also to maintain a positive outlook and find the good in my new situation.

What a busy week! I’m only working 2 days this week – 2 bank holidays and my birthday on Wednesday so I’m taking the day off :) So lots of pottering for me :) And going back to my April goals list to see what else needs finishing up – must do that this evening and start a list for May! Thanks for the reminder!

You are ambitious! I am trying so hard to declutter/ minimize stuff. It is getting better! I am seeing a difference in my life with less junk around. The house is easier to keep clean! I feel a bit lighter funny enough not having so much clutter around me! It’s hard though because we always have people offering us things…(and giving the kids toys…ahhhh)!

One of my goals for this week is to do our Tax Returns. I have always had a mental block about Tax Returns – I would put it on my To Do list and feel guilt for months that I Still hadn’t done them. So, last year I made myself do them within 4 weeks of them arriving and it felt brilliant!

I’ve also got to finish off the jumper I’ve knitted my brother-in-law so I can give it to him for his birthday at the end of May.

I want to plant some herbs so I can use them in salads throughout the summer. I like to cook some pasta, rice, couscous, bulgur etc some time during the day, let it cool down and then mix it with veg and salady stuff and some kind of cooked beans (chickpeas are favourite). So, a few fresh herbs would make a tasty addition.
