What I’m Reading Wednesdays

This week I’m reading The Pursuit of Holiness {wonderful book!} and Little Women {who doesn’t love Little Women?!}. As it is part of my documented goals for the week, I’m finding I am much quicker to get the books out any chance I get & with Sophie’s arrival in the household, that isn’t nearly as much time as I’d like :) . Poor Sophie  is still recovering from the removal of her tumor, has an infected foot where they put the IV, is on medication which make her sick and is being traumatized by going back to the shelter for her ongoing treatment ever other day {all noted in her adoption plan & all treatment covered}. But she is doing well and in the quiet moments, I read!

What are you reading this week?

Since you mentioned Little Women I’m reading it again myself!

Poor Sophie, I hope she is all better soon. Quick question – how do you find the adjustment to dog ownership?

  2. Nancy says:

Not very interesting but making myself read it….Small Business Taxes Made Easy by Eva Rosenberg.
Then I am rewarding myself with Bleak House by Charles Dickens

  3. Elizabeth says:

    A Thousand Splendid Suns!

    Feel better Sophie!

  4. Ann says:

Wow, I haven’t read ‘Little Women’ in ages! That would be a good one to revisit. Elizabeth, I though ‘A Thousand Splendid Suns’ was excellent – I hope you like it, too. I am now reading ‘Starting from Scratch’ by Susan Gilbert-Collins and ‘Organized Simplicity’ by Tsh Oxenreider.

So funny, I was just re-reading Little Women a couple of weeks ago!

I’m reading You Are Not A Gadget by Jaron Lanier and Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling (have never read them, but they’re now in our house!).

I am currently reading “Extraordinary” by John Bevere. It’s a great book. I am also reading “Windows on the World of Jesus” by Bruce Malina, but this is a text book for the unit I’m studying. So I’m not following my usual rule of only reading one book at a time. In fact I never follow it because I’m also always reading The Bible, but that book is essential!

  7. Joyful says:

Hey, I’m STILL reading the book I was reading last week at this time, The Orchid Thief. I’ll finally finish it soon, lol.
