The Happiness Factor

Happiness is….

:: Kitties who hug so tightly it makes the photo blurry!

:: A big blue sky that tastes like raspberry sherbet; don’t you taste the sky?!

:: Avocados to peel and smoosh - yes, smoosh is the perfect word to describe what happens in my kitchen!

:: Knitting in a dark studio, while the most awesome of radio programs is being recorded. Yes, there’s a bit of Q love happening here!

:: Markets, oh markets!

:: White squirrels. Strange. Double Take. Crazy. Cool.

:: Dogs who look like lambs from the back. Baaaa!

:: Friends who feed. Those onions were delicious ;)

:: Summer memories and houses on lakes!

:: Autumn joy – like an IV full of happy juice every single day for a month!

:: Faith that fills you up again and again and again and again and again!

:: Baby love – hugging and squeezing {not too tightly!} and lovin’ and a smooching, which makes it impossible to capture without the blurry. Blurry pictures = love captured, in motion!

What’s your happiness factor?

I have looked all over for a lake house with a basement and many tell me they don’t exist. Mmmmm that is what I see here. I’d like to retire there. :) Thanks for sharing
    such wonderful pictures.

I didn’t know white squirrels existed. Nice photos, you have an eye for composition. Your new family member is very cute, sounds like she found the right home.

Great pictures! Your wee dog looks like mine. I have a bichon. Just new to your website and love your pictures….Have a bright sun shiny day!

  5. Maria says:

Ooh, an albino squirrel! I’ve never seen that before. Or maybe not even albino (the eyes aren’t pink…).

Your photos are beautiful, I love the sky and the trees :o )

They are actually white squirrels, apparently they are only exist in 2 places in the world!

Thanks for the compliment! I long for a better camera so I can push myself, but it isn’t a need :)

A little town outside of London Ontario, called Exeter, is famous for their white squirrels. I used to feed them outside my grandfather’s home when I was wee.

    My “happiness factor” includes:
-my dog and kitty greeting me at the door (and looking out the front window together) as I pull into my driveway
-my niece’s phone calls and vigorous hugs
-falling asleep and waking up cuddled up with DH
-time with good friends who leave me feeling restored
-outdoor walks with friends at the crack of dawn (sometimes before!)
-my playlists that induce whatever mood I created them for
-singing in a choir (hearing voices all around me and contributing myh voice to the sound makes me feel warm all over)

    Thanks for the inspiration :)

Is that the famous white squirrel of Trinity Bellwoods park? I’ve always wanted to see it – you are very lucky.

I am pretty sure kitties are built for happiness :)

Jian makes me very happy (I love his laugh) and I also love limes, splashing waves and changing into my “after school clothes” when I get home from work.

    Congratulations on your little lamb!

  9. Fz says:

I have never seen a white squirrel before. Yet another reason to read your blog, I’m constantly learning things about other countries, cultures and experiences!

    Are there many of them?

  10. Fz says:

    BTW lovely photographs!

  11. christine says:

All the coolest squirrels are white squirrels. The other ones are just so ordinary!!
