Reclaiming Simple Sundays

Nothing like waking up knowing it is Sunday, a relaxed, reclaimed and simple Sunday. And while I need to have a quick work meeting & work for about an hour, if it kills me I’m keeping my mind off of work for as. long. as. possible.

So today I woke up & gave thanks. It really is good to be alive, on Sundays especially ;) . Next there was a cooked breakfast, meal planning for the week and snuggles, oh there were many many snuggles, with a little bit of light peaking through…

Next was a swim which relaxed my body & soul, followed by a nice long walk to Church. I gave thanks again as I walked along with snow falling and mild temperatures. And now I am home.

This afternoon I’ll enjoy cooking greek lentil soup, spinach balls & grain and cilantro salad {recipes will be up this week!}. And I’ll listen to Vinyl Cafe, Tapestry & Writers and Company, with a little Bach on the cello to further relax my soul.

After a favourite nap I’ll give thanks for having a job to go to tomorrow and a wonderful plan in place. And I’ll try not to miss the cows or my violin too much.

And as Sunday draws to a close, I will sip tea & cheer on Mr. Firth for a little Oscar hoopla!

If he wins I will raise my teacup and give a little nod. And thenĀ I will go to bed…

Happy Reclaimed Simple Sunday to you & yours! What are you doing today my lovelies?

You always make Sundays sound so relaxing. I love that you focus on the joys and let go of the other stuff.

My Sunday has been spent reading magazines and meeting up with friends! Tonight I think I will listen to classical music, thanks for mentioning it, I never seem to remember except when I read your blog!

Oh missing your violin sounds difficult. My girl is so attached to hers. When she is having a good day that little box of cleverly shaped wooden, metal and other stuff parts is a true extension of her. I really feel for you.
