Weekending Part I

Sometimes I look at this beauty and want to somehow capture it into a jar and release a little every day like fairy dust, always available just when you most need it most…

Burrowing my face into a bouquet of wild flowers, just to remember how beautiful this moment is, to never forget their colours, smells or touch…

Playing peek-a-boo with our tongues, so precious it brings tears to my eyes! The sweet nectar of life, always leaves my eyes a little souvenir!

Nothing like hiking and finding treasure, for some treasure is gold or silver, only because they haven’t found the sweet treasures of life!

Lying on the grass, becoming one with the sheep…

Releasing a piece of my soul into the water and gaining a new refreshing dollop of something all together more special!

“Rest is not idleness and to lie sometimes on the grass on a summer’s day, listening to the murmur of water or watching the clouds float across the sky, is hardly a waste” John Lubbock

Where is your weekending taking you?

Happy Weekend, hope you have a great birthday.
I will be taking my 4 year old for a long walk along the seafront and then helping out at a community center where my friend’s 17 year old daughter has organized a dance group for 4-9 year olds who are putting on a show today.
    Lots of fun all round.

  2. Wonderful posts! And love the pictures…

We’re off to the river with the dogs and another couple after pancake breakfast and mailing a care package to my gal back home. Tomorrow the hub will have to work so I’ll do the weekend cleaning around the house.

Keep enjoying your weekend! Love it!

Oh my word this is just so awesome! Absolutely beautiful!

My weekend has been spent mostly with friends, food shopping and trying to find new shoes!

  8. Elizabeth says:

Could you do a post on how much you spend on average in a weekend? I think it would really make me see that the good stuff in life is free, whereas the way I live is more costly!

These pictures are so beautiful. The first one especially – it tugs at my heart with its Englishness. I am so homesick!
