Simple Woman’s Daybook

For Today…

Outside my window…I am looking at the clothes I have drying on the line, doing a whisper of a dance in the gentle breeze.

I am thinking…about my friend who died one year ago this week!

I am thankful for…birds – if you stop and think about it, they are just beautiful, the sounds they produce make  my soul feel like it is dancing!

From the kitchen…blueberry flapjacks

I am wearing…3/4 length white summer top with leggings

I am remembering…the very special souls who captured my heart

I am going…to NYC to sit in a tiny independent children’s book shop with a fairtrade hot chocolate and buy loads of books for the orphanage [I'm sure you all realize this is a dream, I'm not headed to NYC!]

I am reading…Desmond Tutu’s Biography and Finding Fullness Again: What the Book Of Ruth Teaches Us About Starting Over

I am hoping…to hear some news this week and make a concrete plan!

On my mind…how tired I am – thankfully I’m confident a good visit with the Dr this morning with 4 prescriptions in hand (!), a natural remedy and a test booked for tomorrow will get all this sorted (tummy issues from my trip plus monster allergies!)

I am creating…a lot of laughter as I have a serious case of the giggles!

I am hearing…silence which I love (no mobile phone and I can’t find the house phone – tiss bliss)

Noticing that…the current temperature of 18 degrees (64 F) is just perfect for me!

Pondering these words…
“Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly.” Unknown

Around the house…there is a lot to be done, the plan is to tackle one room each evening for the next week!

One of my favorite things…sending funny comical emails to my friend in Australia and seeing the hilarious responses – it’s like a weekly knickerbocker glory!

A Scripture thought…”So I patiently accept all these troubles 2 Timothy 2:10 [it's my scripture memory verse for the week!]

A few plans for the rest of the week…being present and in the moment!

I agree 100%! 64 F is the perfect temp! I could live with that temp every day of the year! I am excited to hear what big plans/changes you have coming up. I pray you are lead in the right direction, towards contentment and fulfillment!

I love this so much, especially the verse which is something I could really use right now!

I’m with you on the tackle one room a night! I do that a lot myself when I let things get out of hand.
