This looong weekend was like sweet nectar, it was just beautiful!
Walking along the coastal path for hours, passing sheep & views which take your breath away…
Plus there was a dog involved, which makes everything sweet
And my friend Daphne the sheep – ya I named her
Once home, I was able to spend some time with family and drop my mum off at the train station for her 2 weeks holiday [a funeral followed by visiting her brother in France]! She left with a bag full of goodies I made her for her travels – cool summer broccoli soup, tuna sandwiches, carrot sticks with homemade red onion humus, homemade strawberry puree and a pretty rockin’ seed mix I made for when she needs a boost of energy. Truth be told I also packed her a yummy summer shandy, I mean if you can’t enjoy a shandy while dashing through the countryside at lightening speed on the Edinburgh train, when can you enjoy a shandy?
Other bits of sweet weekend nectar include…
Hanging out with cats & dogs in need of a bit of loving!
Emailing my friend Michelle and sending an important email about upcoming plans, with total peace and confidence. God is great like that!

Photo credit - the worlds best hot chocolate was had [eer...twice!] And then, because you have to admit that hot chocolate does, sadly, have calories [say it isn't so] one needs to walk or run on the beach again…[such hardship!]
Pretence dog ownership yet again
And no trip to the beach is complete without toes dipped in water…
Plus, a weekend means the chance to knit and eat good food made by yours truly, read scriptures, pray and find tiny miracles to celebrate. This weekend, miracles included watching a 4-year-old and 2-year-old meet their Mama & Papa for the first time – love at first sight…which of course reminded me of baby love – I may be half a world away now, but they are never far from my thoughts and they are always in my prayers; even the baby I met each day at the market is forever imprinted in my heart…

I hope your weekend was filled with sweet nectar…because everywhere you look, there really is beauty in abundance!

Beauty in abundance…so true, it is everywhere!
Blessings to you as you begin this next week, sending you peace and love!
Michelle
Very true. Let us always seek to find the beauty
Lucky children and parents to find such love. Who wouldn’t fall for such dreamy eyes! Enjoying the rain here and the puppy dog hugs and having children who have returned to me and talk to me about their secrets. Cherrie
Sounds like an amazing weekend. I’m always amazed at everything you get done even on these “restful” outings!
Definitely sounds like you had the right elements for restoration however.
Many blessings to you….
