I often see homes with outside lights on that are obviously just to make the house look pretty to people passing by. A very expensive and wasteful decoration.

Wasting power drives me crazy too!
My son asked if we could have “Earth Night” last night. He thinks it’s really cool to get to sit in the dark together. I’m working hard to encourage him to be green.

As for water usage, I’m looking at installing a low water use toilet. I’m on a well for water, but I hate the waste toilets create. Reducing water usage helps the environment and our budgets.
-Also we keep rain barrels to collect water for our garden and shrubs.
