Grateful, Thankful, Blessed

So much to be thankful for this week, it is a blessed life this life that I lead :)

  • A friend who has just returned from 3 weeks in the US gave me two Toms natural deodorants which she bought for herself but can’t use, she knows I always buy natural products so decided to give them to me! What a lovely, kind gift which is very appreciated!
  • Yesterday I put £1 in the meter and got £2 back! There was no one to give the extra money to, no number for service/attendant and no place to leave it, so I kept it and lo and behold within 10 minutes saw someone who needed it! How nice to be able to bless them with both my pound and the extra pound I found :)
  • A semi feral cat I’ve befriended has um, decided she will jump through the upstairs window and make herself at home. In fact, tonight when I arrived home at 9pm I had three cats sitting outside waiting for me, none are mine! Popularity rocks ;)
  • My uncle who has been very very sick is doing very well – despite his test results showing he needs a transplant asap, he is actually up, walking, eating, working and pretty much back to leading a normal life, apart from being very tired!
  • I got to spend 2 days with my nine-year old niece! She joined the family five years ago (I didn’t know her then!) and is now the apple of my eye!
  • After a break, I’m back using re-usable toilet paper! Tis grand!

What are you thankful for this week?

I am thankful to be out of hospital! Something I’ll be thankful for for a long time now. And also thankful for all the lovely people that came to visit me while I was in there.

Very jealous of your adopted kitties!!

Thankful for the wonderful wedding I attended on saturday, the joy of my friends and their new life together.
    Thankful for the sunshine.
    Thankful to see everything growing.
Thankful for friends, old and new.
Thankful that my husband is slowly feeling better.
Thankful for the adults that my children are becoming and the way god is working in their lives.

I am so happy to hear of all the good things in your life, and that you could recognize them as blessings and rejoice!

I am always happy for life and the beauty I see all around me….For the company of my little dog Bo, and going to see my mother’s cousin in the country tomorrow……

  5. Praising God for all the blessings.

Can’t say how pleased I am to have found ‘notesfromthefrugaltrenches’. It’s such an inspiration and support for me. We are having to cope with more difficult circumstances following my redundancy in a job poor region, but I have to say how often I love this new found (‘low spend or no spend’) life I am (slowly) building. So important to be grateful and emjoy the myriad of compensations instead of worrying about what has gone. Like Paul I am learning how to be content. I have so much to be grateful for.
My young son’s happy, smiling face!! He beams with love of life and enthusiasm!! My wife’s gentle loving nature. Lovely bright blue sky early mornings. Warm, balmy ‘light till 9′ summer evenings. Deserted white sand Highland beaches discovered out walking. Also sometimes now, even my older, still imperfect life-lived-and-learned self. Michael
