Plan Sparkle Update!

The truth is, what I’ve learned is you need to be very dedicated to succeed at plan sparkle, well that and you need the morning to get off to a good start! On day four, I’ve already found that when I get up and get active, I have a much more sparkly day! Right now that means waking up, grabbing my big bottle (re-usable) of water and heading out for a 40 minute swim. It sets me off on the right foot and gets my mind & body in the right place to make healthy choices the rest of the day!

How are the rest of you doing? If you comment below I’ll add your blog under this post and then everyone can check up on each other! Soon I hope to get a Mr Linky, which will make it much easier!!

After an over indulgence of Lindt bunnies Plan Sparkle begins in earnest for me today.

I’m going to keep a food diary to hold myself accountable and build in a heap of exercise.

By all means include my blog link, but it’s so personal this journey for me I probably won’t blog about it! May just keep my updates on here (if that’s okay).

I was doing great! (I started early, about two weeks ago) but today I am quite dramatically OFF plan sparkle. Just 24 hours furlough ;) then tomorrow I will be back on again.

I agree! Getting off on the right foot is soooo important. I’ve shifted my morning routine a little to fit in ten-fifteen minutes of exercise (usually yoga or something gentle) as well as breakfast etc on a work day – it sets me up for the whole day. I’m also trying to do 30 minutes a day of something else cardio-ish (“ish”=walking, dancing around my room to the glee soundtrack, whatevs ;) and that is helping no end with keeping me feeling sparkly and energised and happy. It is amazing how much difference eating well (and not obsessing about the occasional cupcake) and doing just a little bit of exercise has made my mood shoot up.
    Happy Easter, FT! xxx

I’ve been dutifully eating my extra vegetables. It does make me feel better.

Christ has risen bless you and your new work. Hope your Mum is feeling better.

Well, I walked to work, the one day this month I have had work, and I have flossed everyday.
I have also had less tea than normal and been to bed early, but that is probably because SO and I have been on a massive spring cleaning exercise, moving and re-finishing furniture and sorting out bags for charity.
I haven’t started up my morning exercise routine yet, but I hope that we will finish our cleaning today (sincerely hope since we have guests coming for dinner at 4!) and that tomorrow I will get out my yoga mat and start my final goal for Plan Sparkle!

  6. Ooh, you’re SO right about getting the day off to a good start! I find that if I don’t run in the morning, it’s so difficult to fit it in later in the day. And when I run, like with your swimming, I make healthier choices for the rest of the day.

It’s good to see how others are doing too :)

Good luck with Plan Sparkle! :)

I have just two goals: more sleep and less processed sugar. I have been doing pretty well, up until today, but what’s Easter without some chocolate bunnies? I did talk myself into balancing the Easter candy with a nice long walk on the treadmill though, so all is not lost. And tomorrow I will do better.

I found that getting the water in is the easiest part. I am making sure I eat breakfast (egg on a whole wheat bagel with lo fat cheese ) so I can get some protien in my system so by lunch time (2pm for me (8 hours after I wake up and 7 after I eat breakfast) I’m not ready to hit the fast food joint and order everything… so that’s helped.. This next week should be much better as I will have done aproper shop and had some time off work – good luck to all of us :) Happy Easter to all :)

Well done, you, on the goals you are achieving in plan sparkle. My similar “become a bronze goddess” quest took a bit of a hiatus this past week, as I was undergoing a lot of medical tests that prevented me from getting very much exercise and physically exhausted me, although my healthy eating continued.

Live everyone else, though, even this healthy eating was derailed a bit here with Easter yesterday. But now it’s Monday, the start of a new week. Onward and upward!

    Good luck to you too!
