The Simple Woman’s Daybook

[Simple+Womans+Daybook.jpg]

FOR TODAY
Outside my window…all is calm and quiet, spring is in the air! I can hear birds chirping and am watching a cat bask in the sunshine on the porch!

I am thinking…about the incredible feelings of peace I have right now and about the beauty that is found everywhere!

I am thankful for…so many things, but especially inner strength!

From the kitchen…wild salmon with potato, peas and a large rocket, grape & toasted pumpkin seed salad!

I am wearing…leggings and  a t-shirt, comfortable and simple!

I am creating…a gentle and flexible life (5 year) plan which feels very right indeed!

I am going…nowhere and loving it :0)

I am reading…The Diary Of Anne Frank, Animal Vegetable Miracle, The Bible and Peace With God

I am hoping…my friend who just lost her husband is OK!

I am hearing…peace and tranquility with the occasional interlude from Radio Four

Around the house…I washed and sanded the baseboards this morning, after sweeping, dusting and getting all the dishes done! I love a clean home!

One of my favorite things…is just taking a moment to breathe in the fresh air with my eyes closed while listening to the birds!

A few plans for the rest of the week: taxes, reading the Guardian, packing up boxes, walking, resting, more cleaning!

    Lovely post :)

My simple pleasure today is knitting. I’m knitting a baby jacket and feel so relaxed and a peace whilst creating something for my soon-to-be grandaughter x

Well, I’m working today but at least it’s from home. Have been in the office for the last 7 days (excepting weekends) and am a little bit tired so looking forward to getting lots done without interruption! And looking out the window at the (patch) blue sky! Yay!
    Enjoy your simple pleasures too!
    Cheers

I have been thinking of doing one of these posts too! Loved your post on home as well…I love home, and have been able to be home so much more over the last few months, by cutting out unneeded trips here and there. What a blessing it is!

    I really love this idea.
I normally have so much floating around in my head, getting it down on paper in this way is wonderful!
    Thanks for sharing.

Making me think of my own blessings!
This morning – drinking my cuppa before I head off to church, catching up on my favblogs and listening to bird song from the garden.

Animal, Vegetable, Miracle is a great book–very inspiring! Today I got out in my yard (garden) to do some spring cleanup and enjoy the fresh air.
