Thankful Blessed Grateful

It is those days when the tiny mental list of things you wish were different begins to stack up, that you stop, re-collect and remember to give thanks. Yesterday was one of those days and yet I am thankful for:

  • The word toad, because it may just be the best word going!
  • Signs of spring
  • This amazing song by Ivy featured on Grey’s Anatomy
  • The videos that made my mum chuckle! [honestly I don't think I've heard her laugh in a very long time, so it was so incredibly wonderful to hear a faint chuckle for a second or two!]
  • The jobs I applied for – with each application comes hope the next stage is drawing nearer
  • Two more jobs I found!
  • The super seemless transition to cloth toilet paper [a post is coming]
  • The 1.5 hr chat with a friend who rang from 1/2 way around the world, just because!
  • Hot chocolate from Cafe 36 in Exeter (best hot chocolate in the world, hands down)
  • The awesome salads from PLANT in Exeter
  • The sun – which occasionally shines here in England ;)
  • LOST finally back on our screens
  • Tonight’s planned catch up with local friends
  • Beauty which is all around us!

What are you thankful for today? I do hope you feel blessed too!

    What a great list!
Right now I am grateful for tea and the new disney animation (I went to see it last night with my primary teacher friend andwe had the whole cinema to ourselves. The film was wonderful: proper old-school Disney a la Aladdin!)

I didn’t comment on your post yesterday but I read it: I thought it was a great point of discussion/thought…I’m sorry if you had drama as a result of your honesty!xx

  2. These things I am grateful for today:

    - food
    - iced coffee
    - my son settling into school
    - I live in a safe easy neighbourhood with a great reserve nearby
    - less severe pms symptoms

  3. This is such a great list! It makes me want to do this kind of thing every day–it’s so nice to stop every now and then and think how really blessed we are.

At the moment, I’m grateful for:
    -rain
-medicine for my stomach, which is keeping me awake
    -a warm bed, and shelter
-my husband sleeping next to me.

I am VERY intrigued by cloth toilet paper!!

I try to remember to do it daily Kelly, but often forget! I’ll do a post soon! Those are lovely things to be thankful for!

Today I am grateful for my family and the fact that we homeschool, the possibility of moving onto our land sooner rather than later, and that I will get to see my brother in a couple of weeks.

    I like your list :)

    Today I am grateful for:-

    - working flexible hours so I can pick my kids up
    - my health after dealing with some very sad issues at work today
    - the fact lego instruction manuals are now online!
    - a bagful of plastic figures given to me by a good friend for the kids. New toys for free – always welcome
    - Pinot Grigio on offer in Tesco.

Today I’m overwhelmingly grateful to the clouds for staying away so the sun can shine so beautifully …and the fact that I’m not working so that I can enjoy it properly.

(On a more boring note, I’m even more grateful that my washing machine has decided that it’s not broken after all and is now happily doing another load of laundry.)

Thankfulness is the emotional ointment that gives us peace. I’m so thankful for all the ways we continue to learn to live frugally. I’m interested in your cloth toilet paper. Looking forward to that post!
