Recovery and Renewal

Wake up to find the sun shining, hit the pool for a refreshing swim; arrive home to find a beautiful bunch of tulips and a gift certificate for a massage from a very lovely person. Leave home and head towards a farm, enjoy chatting away to the cows and finding the perfect field – with barn. Happen upon some pigs, taking a snooze. After a stroll through the farm shop head to the beach, walk along a pier and end the day by looking at your feet – the mud on your boots the perfect reminder of a perfect day. Light found!

I hope your Saturday involved recovery & renewal!

Sounds like a wonderful day and what a nice suprise!

Today I got up early and ran/walked 10.5K for part of my marathon training. It was terribly cold in Nova Scotia today. The wind chill is bitter but it felt good to get the distance done.

We won’t end up going to see the bald eagles as the roads are bad in that area this weekend from weather conditions.

i love this post! mine did! i took a walk in the snow, got a hot cup of decaf from the local coffeeshop, cleaned off my car (but didn’t drive it), made homemade hummus, chopped up collard greens, ordered stuff I need for my Montessori training, set up my workspace, folded laundry, finished sewing a button onto a finished hat, updated my blog, now … to watch a movie and finish the book i’m reading. i loooooooooove days like this at HOME ….. though i wouldn’t mind your weather, for sure!

  4. Yes it did, even though I was constantly going! Although I did take a moment to relish having my kitty purr upon my lap! After reading through your posts from the last few days finally (I always get behind!) sounds like you’ve had quite a bit going through your mind, so I’m glad to hear you had a refreshing and renewing Saturday! Keep your head up. It may be that God is pointing you in an entirely new direction. Its frustrating to feel those doors slamming, but sometimes we’re just missing the window He is opening….or we just can’t understand why He wants us to be quiet and wait. It’s difficult but there’s always a light thru the tunnel!!

  5. Love the flowers! Sounds like a great day :-)

Yes, indeed. My saturday involved facials, massage and paraffin treatments. Ah, bliss :-) Come by and see. Glad you enjoyed your day.

  9. Nothing like happening upon some pigs! The one I put on my blog had 11 piglets in the week apparently.
