Today I am thankful for:
:: A cat who wants to snuggle, most of the time
:: A sky which provides endless hours of entertainment, joy & photography
:: A plan which is coming together!
:: Friends both near and far
:: Vintage cookbooks
:: A friend who brought a delicious meal, just because!
:: My car, all repaired minus the stereo
:: A friend, who after 45 years of waiting for motherhood, found out she was matched with a 4 year old girl in a land far away; her arrival home, after 4 years of paperwork, mere months away!
:: An email from one of my best friends sharing her plans to go to Haiti very soon!
:: Being able to give to Shelter Box and see the awesome work they do!
:: Books like this one which I don’t own – but I’m just happy it exists for the future!
:: The ability to daydream, oh how grand it is!
What are you thankful for today?

you have a cat? I didn’t know this! Have you shown us a photo of said fluff ball?
I am contorted as I type this thanks to a very demanding cat that insists on sitting on my lap… only, she’s far too large to be a lap cat. It’s a good thing she’s so adorable
Yes I have a cat! There are many pictures of her in the archives, but I’ll put another one up soon! I um, take endless photos of her :0) My cat is with me about 50% of the time, my mum kindly steps in when I have to travel etc. OOoh I can relate, my cat has a very tiny face yet a huge body! I remind her not to be hard on herself, some have a more natural “middle spread”
hmmmm mine has a VERY “natural middle spread”, “back spread” and “bum spread”…
These days I’m just happy when it’s not raining LOL
Am easy to please.
In much admiration of your friend who’s planning to go to Haiti!

With you on the rain!
Yes, in fact, found out last night that two friends are going!
This might sound silly, given that you are on a fast from TV, but today I’m greatful for Golden Girls re-runs. My husband & I have so been enjoying laughing together while watching the show. What good writers that program had!
I’m also greatful for rainy nights, quiet Sundays, a healthy family and good healthy food in my cupboard.
lol I used to love Golden Girls. So funny aren’t they?
oops, I too adore rainy nights and rainy days unless it has rained for a week. Now that is my limit!
How wonderful that your friend is going to be a mother very soon. Today I am thankful that my family is healthy, and I should be getting my braces off in the next couple of weeks, no more pain.
Great things to be thankful for! Yes, I’m elated for her!
Lots to be thankful for there.
And congratulations to your friend on impending motherhood – a four year old girl, what a blessing.
I am thankful for my kids all having friends round and playing happily so I can read your blog! And after much negotiation having found a meal that all 6 of them will eat.
Thank you! I feel oh so happy for her. Glad you got some peace Anna, well deserved I’m sure!
I am thankful for flowers, health and your blog!
oooh flowers, that’s a good one!
Ah, a lovely list of things FT! I’m looking forward to hearing the outcome of all of your recent planning.
I’m looking forward to sharing!!

I’m most grateful at the moment (outside of all the usual, everyday grateful things like family, house, food etc) for the snowdrops which have just started blooming in the garden. They unfailingly lift my spirits every year as a little pointer that Spring with its longer days and warmer sunshine is on the way!
oooh Jennie, can I come to your house???
What a great list! I am thankful for the nice sunny weather today!!
Well that’s better than the weather we have here :0)
V excited for your friend and her nearing the adoption time.
We donated to Shelter Box recently, it’s a great idea isn’t it.
Thank you for your messages!
