We’ve drawn pictures, and sung songs, and played Hi-Ho-Cherry-o, and had ice cream and bubble bath. A perfect weekend day. Now they’re snuggled up in bed. I need to join them, so I have energy to keep up with them come morning!

I don’t know if it’s just my Western-ness, but weekends have always felt precious to me. Even now, they are the days when I (mostly) put away housework, heavy cooking, yard work, etc to just relax and enjoy whatever comes.
