Weekending!

This weekend I’m weekending, for me that means plenty of healthy food, good exercise, time with friends, rest & relaxation.  Lately I’ve had the most wonderful weekends, after a year and a half on this journey, I feel like I’ve finally found the art of reclaiming weekends for their true purpose. Life certainly is a journey – a journey I’m blessed to be on.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend too! :)

  1. Enjoy your weekend….Indeed, enjoy every minute of your life. I think life is indeed a journey, not to a particular destination, but to experience and be grateful for the journey and care for ourselves and others along the way. I think you have a lot of wisdom, FT, as well as a very generous spirit. Thank you.

i agree, life is a journey…and change is a gradual thing :) i’m glad you are finding more and more rhythm and rest in your life! xx

  3. Another vote that life is a journey and every day can bring new and surprising changes in us.

I don’t know if it’s just my Western-ness, but weekends have always felt precious to me. Even now, they are the days when I (mostly) put away housework, heavy cooking, yard work, etc to just relax and enjoy whatever comes.

My weekends are no different to any other day of the week, I love them all. Today I went to the coast in Lincolnshire to see the hundreds of seals that come onto land every year at this time to give birth. A truly magical experience. Enjoy your Sunday.

I too am weekending, with rest and relaxation hight on the list.
I think its extra important at this time of year. Rest now as it will get sillier as the silly season really hits.

I put aside all my plans for this weekend, when after an adorable dance recital performance this morning, my little three- and four-year-old grandbabies asked to come to my house to spend the night with grandma. We’ve drawn pictures, and sung songs, and played Hi-Ho-Cherry-o, and had ice cream and bubble bath. A perfect weekend day. Now they’re snuggled up in bed. I need to join them, so I have energy to keep up with them come morning!
