Old Friends

I’m not quite sure why, but as of late I’ve felt a need to re-connect, to re-emerge from the fog of the past few years of non-stop work, tiredness and sheer exhaustion. The fog has finally lifted; while I begun this downshifting months ago, it is only as of late I’ve begun to feel a freedom, an ability to leave behind all the stress, to say good-bye to all those years of not having the energy to do anything beyond what was needed for “survival”!

Three weeks ago I spent the weekend with one of my nearest & dearest and her hubby, it was wonderful and I miss them daily. Next weekend I’m spending the weekend with one of my best friend from University, two weeks later I’m spending the weekend with one of my best friends from childhood, who is like an older sister to me (she is 12 years older than me and was the daughter of my parent’s friends). Then I’m headed back to nearest & dearest & the hubby before arriving home for the holidays.  If the laughter we enjoyed just arranging these visits is anything to go by, all will be fabulous weekends. There really is nothing like feeling the “at home” feeling you get when you are with people you love….!

Life found!
