Tiny Reminder

Do you ever get tiny reminders that you are alive? Yesterday morning I was driving just as the sun was coming up, birds were soaring ahead of me directly in front of my car window, I had a clear view of their beautiful wings and lovely sounds. Later that day I walked through my city of Exeter and saw it’s great cathedral.  I heard our regular street performer singing some jazz and saw children chasing birds. I watched a couple in their 80′s hold hands and call each other love and I saw students conversing in different language so happy and alive. In those moments I remember how blessed I am, how great it really is to be here on this earth each and every single day.

what a beautiful entry, FT! I agree – I managed a big drive (to me: i’ve only recently started driving on my own after passing my test/getting a car a couple of months ago – i find it incredibly stressful!) but part of the road i drove along was lined with trees in all different shades of yellow and orange – the sun was just breaking through the early morning clouds and there was hardly anyone else on the road…life is beautiful!

  2. Just 3 days ago, I couldn’t stop smiling at the way the light was shining off my apartment building, lighting it up in a glorious, mellow glow

It is great to be alive, isn’t it? Hubby and I had the day together yesterday and we did a ton of walking, it felt great and energizing. Glad you had such a good day.

I’ve always felt that happiness is made up of the small moments, nothing big and splashy (although sometimes the big moments bring their own happiness too!) but it might just be that delicious coffee, time with a friend or a hug from your new step grandson.
    Blessings to all
