Welcome To Day 1 Towards Health!!
A few people asked me what program I was following: I honestly don’t believe in programs, I believe in eating healthy & moving. I don’t believe buying expensive meals or shakes is what our bodies need. I think so many of these programs make people fail, but changing how we view food simply makes us healthy! I also think blogging about it helps keep me on track because this am I really didn’t want to swim, but knowing I had people counting on me to encourage them, I made myself do it!
Breakfast: 1 bacon sandwich on granary bread with an apple & tiny piece of cheese

Lunch: Mac & Cheese, spinach, cherry tomatoes, pineapple, nuts with a glass of OJ to up the iron absorption from the spinach.

Dinner: Hummus with cucumber & carrot sticks, organic strawberries, organic ham, olives, grated cheese & leftover mac & cheese! It was yummmmy!

Exercise:
60 minute swim – it was a fabulous swim!!
Task:
Clean & Organize Bathroom – DONE!
Now Here’s Our Team:
A Piece Of Wood (starting tomorrow)
Annie – Northern Living Allowance
Plus Kylee who doesn’t have a blog but will be leaving her info in the comments!
So let us go and encourage each other to keep going! Day 1 done, 9 to go!
Tomorrow I plan to swim for at least 45 minutes and take in a brisk 1-2 hour walk! I also want to de-clutter & clean my bedroom as my task to accomplish! Just blogging about it means I’ll get it done!
So how did the other 11 ladies do??

I did it! Click here to read all about day 1.
Love the meals. OJ sounds especially good right now. Hummus and veggies sound good, too. My girlfriend usually makes hummus at her parties…
Tomorrow I will try to food pic. I bet the swim was fun! Congrats on day 1 job well done.
Oh, yummy, your food always looks so good. Right up my alley.
Yes, your food looks SO delicious and SO colourful. I love colourful food!
You are off to a great start!
FT I’d be STARVING if I ate like you and did all the exercise you did!
Yumm!! Look at those colours!! Great start!
I’m right there with you today!!!!
Off to a great start, good luck with the decluttering.

OH! You’re my new favorite blogger fyi
Your day looked yummy!
Me:
Breakfast – multigrain Weetbix with soy milk and yogurt.
Lunch – Egg and spinach sandwich and a pear.
Afternoon snack – cheese
Dinner – Vegie sausages, mashed potato, steamed vegies. And some watermelon. Yummy, love watermelon.
I went for a 40 minute walk this morning, and spent about an hour weeding the garden this afternoon. It was quite warm here today, 30 degrees Celsius, so had to wait until it cooled down a bit. Not really mid autumn temperatures.
Loving the willpower that I have knowing I will be adding my comment here everyday.
FT – Did you have a recipe for your macaroni cheese on this blog? I think I saw it once. If you could point me in the right direction. Thanks.
Cheers
Kylee
Kylee the recipe I normally use is under Frugal Food. This one was from a friend.
Love your food choices for day 1!
Hey ladies!. I ate well. lots of fruit and veg. museli for breakfast with extra fresh fruit. salad with grilled haloumi for lunch. And snacks of rye bread and marmite. glass of good red wine in the evening. just a bowl of branflakes for supper.
about 2 hours walking. didnt listen to my CD. or declutter.
Okay. I did day one and have written a blog about it, but am encountering error messages when I try to post it, so am, needless to say, somewhat frustrated.
However, I’ll mark down what I did yesterday here instead (if that’s all right).
I vacuumed and cleaned my bathroom as my exercise for the day (took about an hour). My breakfast was Apple Strawberry granola with a teaspoon of honey and plain yogurt. Lunch was organic hummus on sunflower seed bread and I had a giant citrus chicken salad and two strawberry smoothies for dinner (I went out with a friend and tried to be good!).
Overall, a good start I believe. I can do much better on the exercise and I will now start to pay better attention to the actual task: I didn’t realize decluttering was part of it! Whoops! A good thing, as I have plenty of stuff to declutter.
