This weeks priority is to find light; that which brings brightness & joy.

There is a garden in every childhood, an enchanted place where colors are brighter, the air softer, and the morning more fragrant than ever again. Elizabeth Lawrence

  1. I am loving your micro tlog (with just the pics). Chasing light indeed!

I like that expression! A friend once told me she went where the colours were brighter. I think she meant the same thing.

I like it. Where is my light? where are the colours brightest for me? I shall eat my lunch (the bubs are asleep) and ponder. A good thing to ponder on methinks

  3. Nice list. And I love the pics you been posting. I am so jealous that I don’t live in England. I always feel I was born in the wrong country. Perhaps its past life residual… if you believe in that sort of thing.

My light comes from playing with my children, loving my husband, absorbing in a good book, tending my yard, and eating good food. I think we should always chase the light. :)

I love your list and hope you find all the light you need this week, FT! I’ll be trying to find mine by trying to balance work, chores and a spot of down-time.

What seeds are you planting this week?
    Congrats on your anniversay/birthday too!

  5. love your photos! i think in places like england people become naturally more sensitive to light since it is rarer than my native california where it is usually on full blast. in everything- people, food, language. i remember being in a very crowded pup in england and being able to hear the person across the table from me talking. it was weird. that never happens at home where everyone shouts simultaneously.

Thanks for the reminder to chase the light. For me that means to let the light in, literally and figuratively, things have been dark lately, the news, the state of the world, things do seem dark but I am inspired to look for more light!

    I love that idea!!
If the weather is good tomorrow I think I will go “chasing light” with my 3 yr old. He’ll think that’s fun!
Living in Nova Scotia, I can relate to the climate of England. We have a lot of rainy or gray days and lots of fog. I must admit I LOVE fog! I live very close to the ocean and the smell of the salty air with the fog is relaxing to me.

It’s wonderful that you have chose simple things to do this week to help you relax and reflect. I hope you have a wonderful week.

This weekend I will spend with my son & will be caring for my friends 3 yr old too. It should be entertaining! I think we’ll play in the garden….

I really enjoyed reading your past few posts! I’ve missed it a lot! I think I need more chasing the light in my life, but I have to admit that I love to sit and read for hours. Easter week-end I read ” the Book of Negros ( which made me cry), the glass castle ( which made me LOL), the latest book by Susan Wiggs and another fluffy quick read. It was wonderful, and relaxing.

Maybe puppy and I’ll get a nice long walk in the mud this week-end. DD is going to be babysitting and earning money for her trip! ( She’s going to babysit for our next door neighbour a few nights a week, and I’m hoping she’ll earn at least 60/week maybe more).

Melaniesd I live in New Brunswick and I love the smell of salt water, but not the fog. I can hardly wait to go to the beach in a few weeks! Just to walk and check things out will be wonderful!

Beautiful photos, it’s been very British here in DC this week, unseasonably chilly and gray. The light is due to return this weekend, though!
