Lunch was scrummy too!

march20094-017

5 bean salad, kiwi fruit, cheese, 1 small avocado, hummus & a cherry tomato! Served with a yummy Emmental Cheese & Pumpkin cracker!

And some yummy Alpro Soy Chocolate “milk”!

(I came home for lunch, hense the plate!).  The afternoon was spend teaching then I had a session of accupuncture! Rushed home to get a walk – only managed 45 minutes as it has rained all night, but it was a good 45 minute walk.

Now I bet you are wondering why this post has this title. Well, I made a ricotta, spinach & tomato pizza. Then a good friend of mine who lives in Canada called. Can you see where this is going?

march20094-023

Burnt pizza. Oh how much I was looking forward to this, I planned to have it with a spinach, carrot & beet salad.  Then I considered ordering pizza in, but honestly it wouldn’t be a good choice budget wise, then I pondered making a big stirfry with loads of veggies & lentils but I don’t really fancy it. So I popped a truffle into my mouth and I sit & wait for motivation/inspiration as to what to eat. It is hard to find inspiration when you feel like you’ve put poison ivy gloves on your hands. I’ve truly been trying all your ideas but my hands are red raw with terrible blotches of eczema, I was actually contemplating going to the walk in centre but the person I’m sharing house with forgot their keys and since I knew I’d be home tonight (and was looking forward to a night on my own all week!) I said I’d be in. Of course I tried ringing the mobile because the walk in is just down the road, never has a wait and closes at 10, but of course mobile is turned off! So alas I sit and type and try not to itch and see red lines/blotches spreading all the way up my arms. Oh the good life!

Question re living expenses: I paid 1/2 my rent up front so didn’t include it in the finance post. The £300 living expenses includes petrol, car insurance, phone, bills (my contribution) & food and the rest of the rent I owe – I live frugally hense it is low!

Question re recipies: Yes happy to share them, will do this weekend!

Exercise - only one 45 minute walk – thankfully I have plans to do a lot of exercise tomorrow because I’m really missing being active!

Now I am going to jump up and down 50 times in hope it makes the itchyness go away! Grr!!!!!

Doggies are perfectly well and acting as if the surgeries didn’t happen! Bonnie is running around, jumping and scaring us to death she’ll rip the stitches!

Have you ever tried soaking them in oatmeal? I mean water with oats that have soaked in it a few hours…..We have aveeno bath stuff here and it helps my grandson who has eczema.

Sorry to hear your pizza burnt. :-(
I enjoy your recipes and loved the Kitchen Sink Soup recipe yummm……..

For your eczema some people find plain coconut oil rubbed into the skin helpful.

  10. wow ft, you are doing marvellously with your weight loss! 4 already! i applaud your efforts, and have a craving for pizza (not burnt.)

  11. an ostrich named sam says:

Sorry about your burnt pizza, it looked really good! Have you tried eliminating gluten from your diet? Some people with extreme eczema have had success with that. Sometimes its cause by food allergies. I do hope it gets better… And I hope you had a good chat on the phone…

  12. Chiot's Run says:

Oh, that’s the worst to burn something you’re looking forward too. I happen to like my pizza a little on the “browned” side, so I’d probably still eat all the but the very blackest pieces of that pie.

  13. lcg says:

acupuncture is very good for skin stuff…..

  14. Chantel says:

Hi mate, Oh I can picture your pizza looking wonderful just a short time before you took that pic! Maybe you can make yourself another one this week.

Your slice looked yummy! I have been making my own home-made muesli to have with greek yoghurt in the mornings, it had flaxseeds and pumpkin seeds and dried fruits – I also turn the muesli into a snack bar with dates, tahini and a little honey. I am happy to share the recipe if you want :)

Oh I started scratching when I read your post! I hope you have some relief from it soon. Is this what you get your acupuncture for?

    *hugs you*
