On a wet and rainy night in Devon

misc-0211

One box of knitting needles kindly gifted by my mum’s friend (you can see it in the top right!)

One cat oh so happy to sit next to me (who is now firmly planted on my knee…!)

A favourite blanket to snuggle up with

An evening with an old friend, catching up with the old and new

A highly anticipated book on it’s way to my home

A song to enjoy and daydream to (it’s seriously becoming a fast favourite!)

Daydreams of puppies and allotments and all things that await…

And my soul feels good!

May yours feel good too, on this wet & rainy eve!

lol NO Sandie I’m sitting here looking at them, in wonder…

    are they really for me?

why do they come in so many different sizes?

what will I do with them all?

Thrilled to have found your blog and to be able to read about your life which is so interesting especially because of your young age. You have really accomplished so much so young.

Your downshifting is amazing, your goals seem to be focused so much on others and giving rather than yourself which is always a good thing and something very few money blogs seem to accomplish.

I think you are headed towards brilliant things, a great life and a lot of joy.

    Keep up the good work!

Oh yes, I do think you should really seriously consider writing, you need to market yourself and believe you can do it but from spending an hour on this blog I can see you have a talent. Good Luck!

  10. Lovely list. I’m feeling soothed just reading it.

  11. I hope you have a blessed weekend. :-)

Don’t you just love rainy days? I adore them, real rain really beating down, with dark clouds surounding you, snuggled up in bed with a book or a really old film (good murder movie), hot home made soup and lots of chocolate. Looks out side, bright blue sky, bugger!!!
Thanks for you comment am fine just hurt my back and found it hard to sit for long time. hope you ok fiona

It sounds like a lovely evening. I just wanted to let you know that I’ve nominated you for a Lemonade Award! I find your blog extremely inspiring and I look forward to reading more about your journey in 2009.

Please visit http://lifeinaustralia.today.com/2009/01/16/the-lemonade-award/ for details of how to pass the award on.

  16. Sally Mae says:

Thanks for the great song recommendation!

Ah – if you have yet to discover the delights of knitting, you are in for a treat. I’m not a clever knitter, but have just started dishcloths, and recently made my freezing-at-Uni-in-the-North daughter a lovely lap throw (on my blog).

Still aghast at how frugally you live. We are in the middle of nowhere, so I have a well-stocked store cupboard for those days when we can’t get out due to flooding or living half way up the Cresta Run!
