A wonderful new venture

I’ve pretty much stayed in a very small blog bubble since starting this blog. The blogs I have on my blogroll are the blogs I read. My blog isn’t part of any webrings, isn’t advertised on forums, has no adverts (I get so many emails & comments thanking me for that one!) and I only frequent about 25-30 other PF/Simplicity blogs. For those reasons I found it very difficult to comprehend how my blog got to 2000 readers a day, let alone comprehend how 2000 people would want to hear my inner thoughts and opinions! So it was with great disbelief when I was asked to join a new venture called the Simple, Green, Frugal Co-op

What made me say yes, was that this co-op is about a wholesome life. It is about people across the world who want to live wholesome, simple, earth friendly, green lives; away from the bright lights of consumerism and focus on making money and instead focused on something that gives us oh so much more. I have no comprehension why Rhonda came to think I’d be a good contributor, but I am honored.

So, I invite you all to read and join in the discussions happening at Simple Green Frugal Co-op, not because it will earn me a dime, but because you, like me, may feel inspired by the bredth of knowledge and compassion that adorn the posts.

My first post for the co-op can be found here

On another new note, thank you to all the new commenters who are also on a simplicity and downshifting journey! I certainly have have more blogs to add to my blogroll this weekend!

I had very specific criteria for choosing writers. You fit the bill perfectly. Among other things, I wanted those who don’t advertise and who have a real understanding of money and how it infiltrates our lives.

I’m really proud of our group and I’m very pleased you agreed to be part of it.
