Daily Tracking!

Today was a day filled with temptations – cakes at work for Birthday celebrations, free cheese sandwiches from an event we hosted, invites out to dinner….but I held my ground and made it through. It was pretty easy to avoid the cakes, I simply avoided our meeting centres and kitchens all day by walking the long way round. For lunch I ate at my desk avoiding those cheese sandwiches! May seem radical but at least it helped me keep on track! The invitations for dinner were a bit harder, what I decided to was go to the drinks beforehand instead of dinner and for a while I thought I’d have a beverage but since I knew I needed to keep my water intake up I settled on two glasses of water instead. If I hadn’t spend £7 on Tuesday I probably would of had a glass of wine, but in the end the glasses of water were just what I needed! I hadn’t realized how dehydrated I was and in truth I probably enjoyed them more than a glass of wine, only just! :0)

Daily Speed Walking session: 4/20 (very difficult to get my backside out of bed this am, but still did it!)

Vegan Day: 4/30

No Spending: 3/20

Water 9 glasses, which means I met my daily goal!

For meals today I enjoyed a homemade smoothie for breakfast, marmite on crackers with peppers for lunch and pasta with carrots, broad beans & pesto for dinner.

I find office food very hard to pass up…especially the cakes! My office is right next to the kitchen! Good for you for bypassing it!

I’m amazed at your goals…20 no spend days? You are my hero! :)

  8. I find drinking gassy water a good subsitute for those trying to break the pop (soda) habit. Also there’s no medical reason to drink 8 glasses of water a day you get enough liquids from the food you eat.

  9. I should add that one of my pet peeves is that when ever snacks are present they are invarably sweets, and it can be pretty tough to say no to your 2nd 3rd 4th piece of pie and ice cream when you dont’ have any altermatives. I guess that’s why I’m up almost a stone after holdiays.

anyways the wife and I solved the issue by always bringing along fruits and vieggies, yoiu can’t snack to your hearts content without worrying about too many calories.

  10. opps, edit you CAN snack to your hearts content

You’re one determined lady. Well done!

Apart from a daily glass of fruit juice, I very rarely drink anything other than water and never anything other than water with a meal. I don’t mind a glass of wine before or after but during the meal I want to taste the food and nothing else.

Deepali, I can only drink it out of a bottle, drinking from a glass doesn’t work for me. Once I made the switch it got much easier!
