Daily Tracking!

Day 3 today and I have to say the vegan thing is easier than I expected! You may have to remind me of that in a week or two :0)

I have loads of posts to share about banking, ethical funds, pensions and US politics but this week is a manic work week averaging 11 hr days so by the time I get home my brain is mush! Hopefully I can get some more meaningful posts up at the weekend!

Daily Speed Walking session: 3/20 (I’m really enjoying my morning walks and hope by October I can add an evening walk into the mix as well)

Vegan Day: 3/30

No Spending: 2/20

Water 8 glasses, which means I met my daily goal!

For those who are interested I enjoyed a fruit smoothie for breakfast, cut up veggies with almond butter for lunch and a very substantial dinner of soy mince, mashed potato, broad beans & carrots!  I also have enough food left to make my shopping last 10 days this week, £14.85 for 10 days of groceries is pretty good!

  1. it is interesting that the vegan thing does get easier rather quickly. i am a part-time vegan (my husband is vegan, i am not) but eating his meals 2 x per day has completely changed my eating habits. i rarely eat meat anymore, perhaps once every 1-2 months i will order it at a restaurant. all the food we cook at home is vegan (not because he won’t allow it, it’s just easier that way) and i have learned to love it. me! a girl who had eggs for breakfast, chicken sandwich for lunch, and salad with cheese and chicken for dinner! i think my body feels much better on veg fare too.

SO impressed with you! What a fab start to the month – especially when you’re working so hard and getting up at the crack of dawn to do your walks. At the moment I’m on 5-snooze lie ins…I can barely drag myself out of bed.

    Keep up the good work!

    Jade x

I really enjoy the way you track things, it’s really motivating to read. I would love to read some of your vegan recipes as I want to start cutting down on meat for health reasons.

Looking forward to the ethical funds post as I’m reading up on saving/investing/etc and that’s the way I’m leaning as well.

I’m currently on a bit of a cleanse (it’s a 3 mo one I found online…not sure it’s doing what it’s supposed to, but I’ll finish it off and see how I feel) and then planning to go wheat/sugar/dairy free for a few months. I did that for a few weeks at the start of the year and it worked great for me.

And yay for fixed blog glitches! :-)

  6. So glad you are back online too!!
