Welcome!
I'm Frugal Trenches (no, not my real name!) a lover of natural, simple and frugal living! I use this space and my camera to document a beautiful, purposeful, downshifted and abundant life! Life is not always simple (oh how I wish it was!) but it is always rich and I hope this space demonstrates beauty and joy!
If you have a question, feel free to leave it in the comments! I read and appreciate every comment and will reply to questions within the comment section, even if it takes a day or two (or three, but whose counting!).

The great BIG shop costs oh so little….come shopping with me!
I should preface this by saying I don’t buy cheap food. I don’t believe in buying processed nonsense and putting those toxins in my body. For a very long time my organic, local & fair trade (when not local) values … Continue reading

Living Like No One Else I Know!
One thing I enjoyed about reading Dave Ramsay’s view on finances was his saying “live like no one else you know so that you can live like no one else you know”. In the last week it was my Birthday, … Continue reading
It really does get easier!
So Day 1 was hard, Day 2 was easier and Day 3 was perfectly stress-free. I have a theory – the hardest days are those where I’ve spent the day before, hence, my spending Thursday and Friday made Saturday difficult … Continue reading

I resisted!
Whew, it was hard, but I did it! I ended up going to bed early, around 10:30 and that helped – a bonus was being up this am @ 6:30 and by 8 I had accomplished cleaning my room, doing … Continue reading
