Changing your attitude is the number one most important part of downshifting.

Like Laura, it was my debt and the realisation that all that spending wasn’t making me in the least bit happy that triggered my change in attitude. I’m far more contented now and wild horses wouldn’t get me to go back.

my change in attitude came with my debt lightbulb moment and, give or take the odd naughty spend, I’ve been a different person since. My life seems so much easier now that I’ve lost the urge to own the best handbag in the village!
