Simplicity

For all the handbags in my wardrobe that felt oh so good for a millisecond upon purchase and all the endless CD’s lying around the house, I can honestly say there is nothing like curling up with a mug of hot cocoa and a good book or an old musical on the telly (Sound of Music is my personal favourite) to lift your mood, make you feel good & help you relax.

The simple life really is a wonderful life, good for the soul and the purse!

For more on simply pleasures, Kelly at My $mall Cents blogged about the same topic today!

  1. Of course you can add me to your blogroll, and I’ve updated mine to include you. Maybe someday we’ll meet up in London- my favorite city!

Ah yes Kelly, London is FAB! I don’t think I’ll ever tire of it….well at least not for a while!

I go to France once a year and very much enjoy it too!

How very true! I had the same experience with a cup of Irish Breakfast tea & and an Orage Slice biscuit just last weekend.

That said, I do love my handbag collection though… :-)

That’s what I love most about simplicity–it just feels great. There’s freedom to indulge in pleasure, since I’m not overscheduled or burning through money. Curling up and watching a movie has also become an indulgence for me–a rare treat. But I tend to watch lowbrow comedies instead of musicals…

  13. Great post! Being frugal is like going on a diet, in order to be successful you need to make a strong commitment. It is a lifestyle change.
